Choose this open-style variac transformer from the RS PRO range for a highly efficient and extremely rugged solution when supplying electricity between circuits. Its heavy-duty construction made of high-quality materials means it will last a long time and needs little maintenance.

Features include a continuously variable alternating current output voltage and an overvoltage tap for regulation. A silver-plated commutator provides a smooth linear output, no waveform distortion and an integrated overload capacity to ensure safety. Its efficiency is enhanced by its low operating torque and a low magnetising current.

RS PRO supplies these types of transformers in single or three-phase versions with a selection of current ratings. You can flash mount this one within control panels, enclosures or process control equipment in either domestic or industrial environments. It contains minimal hazardous materials as it's RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant.
