RS PRO Carbon Fibre Sheet, 300 mm x 300 mm x 1 mm


These rigid carbon fibre sheets from the RS PRO range can withstand heavy loads and sudden impacts without bending or buckling. This makes them a favoured alternative to heavy metallic parts in settings where strong but lightweight components are required, such as in the automotive, railway and aerospace industries.

Made by combining polymer fibres, like polyacrylonitrile, with an epoxy resin matrix system, the carbon fibre sheets have two different sides. One resin-rich side is sleek and the reverse has a twill-fabric weave detail. The sheets have a maximum operating temperature of +80°C, a density of only 1.6 g/cm³ and a thickness of just 1 mm.

Carbon fibre is not only suited to industrial use. Its excellent performance has lent itself to use in consumer goods such as phone cases, state-of-the-art speaker cabinets and motorcycle conversion kits.
