Aluminium enclosures are very popular in household and office environments. Application includes switches, knobs or various electrical components.For your convenience you can choose between metal or plastic enclosures.

What is the difference between metal and plastic enclosures?

If you are looking for one that is weather resistant, aluminium would be your best bet. Why? Plastic enclosures tend to deform in difficult weather conditions. Of course aluminium enclosures would be dearer, however it will benefit you in long run because plastic enclosures are termed as short lived.

The 1456 sloped consoles from Hammond are aluminium enclosures with a textured blue case and a choice of contempra grey or black top panels. They come with self-adhesive rubber feet and the required mounting hardware.

• Aluminium top panel sizes up to 14 in wide are 1.62 thick, larger sizes are 2.05 thick

• Replacement screws 1421J6 (6 x 6-32 Philips head screws)
