Supply electricity between two circuits efficiently with this hardwearing, enclosure-style variac transformer from RS PRO. Requiring virtually no maintenance, its robust design and rugged construction offer a long-lasting, trouble-free product. It's intended as a surface mounted transformer, but is equally well-suited to mounting on walls.
The transformer's silver-plated commutator reverses electrical currents. It offers exceptional overload capacity and a smooth, linear output while also preventing waveform distortion. Other features include an overvoltage tap, low operating torque and a low magnetising current to aid regulation. It's also protected against accidental overloading.
This type of transformer is typically used in both residential and industrial settings in process control equipment, enclosures and control panels. As part of our professional series of RS PRO-branded, single-phase encapsulated variable transformers, it's been fully tested for both reliability and safety.
