If you need to connect your USB-compatible devices in harsh environments, choose this mini USB B socket connector from RS PRO. Its metal shell is designed to protect your components against water and dust particles, ensuring robust performance.

The shell's nickel-plated copper alloy construction makes it resistant to corrosion and wear. It has silicone O-rings for a watertight seal, and its IP68 rating means it can withstand temporary submersion in water as well as dust and sand. The connector is also shielded from electromagnetic interference (EMI), meaning your devices will operate without interruption.

This socket connector meets Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) requirements, meaning it contains only trace levels of any harmful materials. It also conforms to ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 standards, so it will keep you and your equipment protected against electrostatic discharge (ESD). This type of connector is often used for military, medical and industrial equipment as well as outdoor LED displays.
