RS PRO Type J Thermocouple 600 mm Length, 6 mm Diameter, +700°C


Accurately measure changes in temperature with this Type J thermocouple from RS PRO. You're guaranteed quick readings thanks to its five-second response time.

The thermocouple is designed for long-lasting performance thanks to its 316-grade stainless steel construction. This material protects the component from rust and corrosion. It's also highly resistant to heat, so the thermocouple can measure temperatures of up to +700°C. This thermocouple has a measuring point made from a positive iron conductor and a negative constantan (copper–nickel) one. As these alloys are dissimilar, they create voltage in response to a change in temperature. This results in accurate measurement of temperatures.

The product has a terminal head made of aluminium with an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP67. This means that it's both dust-tight and waterproof, so you can use it outdoors or in harsh industrial environments.
