Process temperatures out of sync? This DIN rail PID (proportional integral derivative) controller from the RS PRO range uses a control loop mechanism to help equipment run at the correct temperature.

Basic devices send heating signals only when process temperatures fall below an acceptable range. PID controllers are more advanced, using a mathematical formula to ensure process temperature remains as close to the user setpoint as possible.

This controller has a clear multi-line display, with simple four-button operation on the front panel. Once you’ve entered a setpoint, the controller responds to sensor feedback to regulate the process temperature of hooked-up equipment. The DIN rail mount is space-saving and provides flexible mounting options.

Designed to offset sudden fluctuations, this controller is suitable for use in specialised industries, from petrochemistry and food production to the tempering of industrial parts. It has a dust-tight IP65 rating and is RoHS-certified against hazardous materials.
