The clamp meter features a wide clamping jaw that can fit easily around power cables, presenting an efficient way to measure amps and volts in various kinds of electrical devices.

While the device is primarily designed to measure amps via the sensor clamp, it also features inputs for different kinds of sensor and test equipment.

This HVAC clamp meter has a wide and easy-to-read display screen, that can display customized data such as elapsed time and minimum and maximum readings. Powered by alkaline batteries for maximum portability, and featuring a straight forward interface, this clamp meter presents a cost-effective and robust solution to measuring current, particularly in HVAC equipment.

Applications

This versatile clamp meter can be used for a variety of purposes. In general electronics, you might use it to check for energized circuits and balanced loads, or to capture motor in-rush current readings. However, it is also desinged with HVAC equipment readings in mind. This clampmeter can use its MAX/MIN recording in the temperature mode to assess efficiency, and further analyse both temperature and voltage data with the timestamp function. It is also able to measure flame safegaurd device current draw, and can provide an insulation test up to 100MΩ.
