The Through Beam sensor from RS PRO has a flat space saving design allowing for direct mounting and no mounting bracket required. The thin photoelectric sensor provides you with a 50 cm emitter and receiver detection distance, using through beam sensor technology. The sensors are available separately as photoelectric emitter and receiver providing flexibility with installations plus are excellent for small, flat, and opaque object detection from as small as 2 mm.

The photoelectric sensor has a PC plus ABS, thin flat shape design plus is IP65 rated (dustproof) making the sensor suitable for use in harsh environments. Flexible and easy to operate, emitter and receiver, Red light source, LED output indicators, 1 Ms response time, short circuit, overload, reverse polarity, and Zener protection are just a few of the features within the RS PRO Photoelectric sensor.

    • What is a Through-Beam Photoelectric Sensor


    This sensor is made up of a light emitter and a light receiver, the detection distance can be increased by separating the light emitter and receiver. When using the through-beam sensor the emitter and receiver are installed either side of the of the path of objects to be detected. When the object passes through the light beam the light is blocked by the object and the light receiving device acts to output a switch control signal.
