SKF Food Line Y-Bearing Units


Food Line Y-bearing units from SKF offer an innovative solution to washroom-related problems such as corrosion and premature bearing failure. Productivity is increased by eliminating human error through grease misuse and preventing contamination. With less grease consumption, SKF Food Line Y-bearings eliminate the need for relubrication and reduce waste.

Composite Housing


The Y-bearing housing is made from a thermoplastic composite material making it strong, lightweight and chemical resistant. Capable of resisting citric acids, cooking fats and most food and beverage processing chemicals.

Steel coils embedded in the housing increase the fracture strength of the Y-bearing. The polyamide filled base allows for surface-to-surface mounting and eliminates gaps and contaminant build-up.

Stability created by stainless steel bolt-hole inserts increasing strength and preventing corrosion. Housing designs available are, plummer block (SY series) and tapped base (SYF series).

Insert Bearings


The stainless steel insert bearings are corrosion resistant, strong and are supplied with a high performance sealing system. They are self-aligning which in turn provides a longer service life.

High-quality NSF H1 Approved Grease


Each SKF Food Line Y-bearing is prelubricated with a non-toxic food grade grease which is odourless and tasteless. This grease has a broad temperature range and extends the life of the bearing.
