RS PRO Opaque Fluoroplastics PTFE Rod, 300 mm x 130 mm Diameter


Choose this PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) rod from RS PRO to make high-quality parts and components. The material is easy to work with as it's highly machinable, so you can cut its 300 mm length to a variety of sizes and shapes.

PTFE is a suitable choice for applications that are vulnerable to electromagnetic fields thanks to its excellent dielectric performance. It also has good chemical and radiation resistance, as well as a UL 94 V-0 fire safety certification from Underwriters' Laboratories. This means it will only burn for 30 seconds when exposed to flames, making it a safe choice for harsh environments.

The rod moves smoothly without generating heat and noise as it offers low friction and adhesion. Rods like this one are commonly used for bearings, gears and gaskets in food processing and industrial manufacturing.
