RS PRO Opaque Fluoroplastics PTFE Rod, 1 m x 40 mm Diameter


Use this PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) rod from RS PRO to make high-quality parts and components. The rod comes in a length of one metre and is highly machinable, so you can easily modify it according to your needs.

PTFE has high dielectric properties, making it ideal for applications that are sensitive to electromagnetic fields. It also has a high level of chemical and radiation resistance and a UL (Underwriters' Laboratories) 94 V-0 fire safety certification, which means it will only burn for 30 seconds. This makes it a safe choice for use in harsh environments.

This product has minimal friction and adhesion, allowing for smooth motion while also minimising noise and heat. You'll commonly find it used in processing and industrial production for gears, bearings and gaskets.
