RS PRO Natural Nylon Rod, 500mm x 150mm Diameter

This nylon rod from RS PRO is natural in colour and measures 500 mm in length by 150 mm in diameter. It's suitable for use in a number of industries, particularly those involving harsh environmental conditions.

Unlike extruded nylon rods, this cast nylon rod is free of internal stresses, so it offers high impact resistance and high tensile strength of 85 MPa when dry. It's resistant to chemicals, acids, alkalis and abrasion, and is suitable for use at temperatures up to +180°C.

The rod has been tested to ensure compliance with international safety and quality standards. With a flammability rating of UL 94 HB from Underwriters Laboratories, it's self-extinguishing in case of fire. It also complies with Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) standard DIN 50 014 for corrosion resistance.

Thanks to its durability, this nylon rod is useful for heavy-duty industrial applications such as bearings, brushes and gears.
