You can hot plate weld the rod if necessary thanks to its high melting point of +220°C. It has an Underwriters Laboratories rating of UL 94 HB, meaning it slowly burns when horizontally positioned to reduce the risk of fire.


You'll commonly find this rod used as an electrical insulator in agricultural equipment or as a roller in industrial machinery. It's also used by DIY enthusiasts as well as in fabrication workshops and construction sites.
