RS PRO Black PolyEtherEtherKetone PEEK Rod, 300 mm x 30 mm Diameter


Need a rod that will slide well and stand up to a range of harsh environmental conditions? RS PRO's PolyEtherEtherKetone (PEEK) rod is designed for just that. It's commonly used in the medical, automotive and aerospace industries.

This rod contains carbon and graphite for added durability. It also includes polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which reduces friction and allows you to use it without lubricant. The product is hydrolysis resistant, meaning it won't degrade even in contact with superheated steam.

The rod has an Underwriters Laboratories flammability rating of UL 94 V-0, which means the plastic turns molten without catching light in case of fire. You can use this rod in a wide range of applications, including as a valve seat in steam and water mixers, oil and gas processing equipment and medical devices.
