VDE 0701-0702 testing device, METRATESTER 5+

The Gossen Metrawatt METRATESTER 5+ is a versatile electrical safety tester designed for comprehensive testing of various electrical devices and installations. Primarily used for Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), ensuring the safety of electrical equipment and basic electrical testing.

Test types:

Insulation Resistance - measures the resistance of the insulation between the live and earth, and between the live and neutral conductors.
Earth Bond Test - measures the resistance of the earth connection in Class I appliances.
Touch Current Test - measures the current that could flow through a person touching the appliance under fault conditions.
Continuity Test - checks the continuity of the protective earth conductor.
Voltage Measurement - measures the mains voltage.
Current Measurement - measures the current drawn by the appliance.
RCD Test - tests the operation of Residual Current Devices (RCDs).

For testing electrical safety in accordance with DIN VDE 0701-0702
Differential current measurement in accordance with DIN VDE 0701-0702
All measurements are easy to read from a large digital display
Limit overruns signalled optically and in some cases also audibly
