This smart handheld digital multimeter from RS PRO is a high performance device that features a variety of electronics measurement functions including AC Voltage, DC Voltage, Continuity and Resistance. This compact multimeter includes an NCV (non-contact voltage) auto-detect feature that will automatically detect AC or DC when in the specified range. The device also features True-RMS for excellent precision when testing, with results clearly displayed via a 4,000 count LCD display screen. In addition, the display screen also features a backlight function, allowing you to enhance the display in poor lighting. Other beneficial features include auto-hold, ensuring that stable measurements are held on the display and an auto-power off function that will automatically turn off the device after 15 minutes of inactivity, helping to preserve battery life.

What is NCV (Non-contact Voltage)?


With the non-contact voltage feature, the device will automatically select AC or DC when the device is within the specified range. When in Continuity or Resistance modes, if meter detects Voltage (upwards 2.6 V) it will automatically switch to Voltage mode. Unit will not automatically switch from Voltage to Continuity/Resistance. User can manually cycle the mode by pressing the large center button.

What is the IP rating?


The IP rating refers to the level of protection offered by the enclosure of the device. The first number relates to the level of protection from solids such as dust, whereas the second digit relates to liquid. The higher the IP rating, the higher the level of protection will be.

This device features an IP67 rating, offering protection from dust ingress and water.
