When it comes to electrical faults and abnormal currents, this MCB from Eaton puts your mind at ease. You can use it to shield your three-phase equipment from damage caused by short circuits or overloads. It also helps keep you safe from electric shocks. Type-C tripping characteristics mean the unit steps in to break the circuit when it receives between 5 and 10 times its rated current of 16A. This breaker is a reliable layer of protection against high-power surges in devices such as small electric motors and fluorescent lighting.

What type of tripping mechanism does this MCB use?


This MCB uses a thermal-magnetic tripping mechanism to provide a double layer of protection. The magnetic trip means it reacts quickly to short circuits. A bimetal strip acts as a thermal trip by heating up, bending and breaking the circuit when it encounters overload or overcurrent.
