This masking tape from 3M maintains excellent holding strength at temperatures up to +149°C, making it perfect for masking off areas for paint-bake or other high-temperature applications. The crepe-based tape is a versatile choice that can also be used for general painting jobs at room temperature. Baking paint onto metal reduces the curing time of the paint. This can cut the production time for an object from days to hours.

When should I remove the masking tape after a paint bake?


It's best to remove the tape as soon as the item you're painting has cooled to room temperature. This will reduce the risk of the paint cracking when you remove the tape.
