What is the purpose of a blanking plate?


A blanking plate offers protection from moisture, dust, and debris plus restricting access to exposed sockets. They are commonly used by Electricians in construction and building applications as a safety measure or aesthetically pleasing feature. Installation is quick and easy, there are holes integrated at either end of the plate that accepts screws that mate with outlet back boxes.
