RS PRO Stainless Steel External Circlip, 5 mm Shaft Diameter, 4.8 mm Groove Diameter


Need to attach a mechanical part to a shaft? Use one of these external circlips from RS PRO to hold it securely in place without interfering with its continuous rotational force.

These retaining rings are sold in packs of 100 and supplied in a moulded compartment storage box. The pack includes a layout sheet containing dimensional information. The external circlip fits into a groove on the outside of the shaft, which retains it and keeps it secure against high rotational speeds. You can install and remove it using RS PRO circlip pliers.

These circlips are made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, so they're suitable for outdoor use. Retaining rings of this kind are commonly found in applications that involve turning parts, such as turbines, roller bearings and electric motors.
