SKF Deep-Groove Ball Bearing, 45mm ID, 68mm OD - 61909-2RS1

This SKF deep-groove ball bearing optimises the function of the moving parts in your commercial and industrial equipment. The unit's innovative design means it can accommodate both radial and axial loads in both directions. It prevents the misalignment of components during operation to prevent damage to valuable equipment. A cylindrical bore enables the bearing to manage greater axial loads and run at high and very high speeds. Tight seals mean the bearing is protected from contaminants like dust and moisture that can hamper performance.

• High-quality bearing balls and an advanced raceway finish limit noise and vibrations to ensure smooth running

• Stainless steel construction is tough and durable so it won't rust or suffer impact damage

• Pre-greased, so needs minimal maintenance

Applications

• Hydroelectric power plants

• Mechanical and electromechanical motors

• Home appliances, such as tumble dryers

How long can sealed bearings be stored?

You can safely store these bearings for up to three years, and they'll generally be functional after that date, too. However, lubricants do deteriorate over time. Ageing and condensation along with oil and thickener separation all contribute to the limited storage life of sealed bearings, which is why most manufacturers recommend three years as the maximum shelf life.
