RS PRO Black Heatshrink Tube


The RS PRO 3:1 black heatsink tube is made up of polyolefin. It is a high shrink ratio military standard heat shrinkable tubing made of 135°C polyolefin material. In addition to the normally reliable insulation protection, the high shrink ratio is more suitable to be applied to the product with irregular outer diameters and providing more comprehensive coverage.

What is Heat Shrink Tubing?

Heat shrink tubing is a type of extruded plastic tubing that can be cut to size and fitted over a wire or cable joint to provide protection and insulation. When heated is applied the tubing shrinks permanently providing a protective seal. The amount it shrinks depends on its shrink ratio. When you buy the tubing it is in its expanded state, this expanded tubing has a memory so when it is heated it returns to its original state.
