The part is made of die-cast zinc alloy, so it's durable and able to survive daily knocks and scrapes. It's plated with chrome too, which ensures it won't rust or tarnish in damp environments. It's also quick to install. All you need to do is insert the threaded barrel through a pre-drilled hole and tighten up the supplied nut.

It has a panel cut out size of 20.2 mm (L) and 17.2 mm (W), so it's well-suited for installation on small doors or panels. Locks of this type are often installed on filing cabinets, access panels to water meters and electrical enclosures.
