RS PRO 1.27mm Pitch 44 Way Through Hole PLCC Socket
This range of RS PRO PLCC Sockets are designed to convert plastic leaded chips to a thru-hole PCB format on a 100 inch centreline grid. The sockets have a thin wall and are low profile and they conform to JEDEC MS 016 and MS 018 pin count standards. The RS PRO superior precision stamped contact design provides consistent, high retention contacts for all size chips.

PLCC Sockets are commonly used in electronics applications and a socketed chip is particularly useful when developing new products. PLCC sockets are compatible with a range of chip sizes so for example where on-board programming is not achievable when PLD or another chip is needed they can be programmed off the circuit board before being added to test the system operation.
