This float switch from Sensata Cynergy3 notifies you of changes in liquid levels in your industrial container. It's a vertical switch that's designed to be fitted to the top of a tank. The sensor component floats on the liquid surface and turns the switch when the levels change, helping to prevent overflow or underfilling. Thanks to the durable polyphenylene sulfide body material, the float switch can stand up to wear and chemicals for long-lasting performance. You'll find this type of float switch used in applications such as fish tanks, boilers and wells.

How does this switch open and close?


The floating component has an internal magnet and a reed in the switch. The floating component moves with the surface of the liquid. When the float gets near the reed, the force of the magnet opens or closes the switch, alerting you to the change in liquid levels.
