Need to precisely monitor liquid levels in a high-pressure setting? This compact Sensata Cynergy3 float switch will do the job. It's a horizontally mounted device that can be positioned through the wall of a tank, so the cable remains safely on the outside. It features both NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) options for flexibility in the design of your electrical circuit. The maximum current this device will switch is 500mA.

Why would I need a float switch?


Float switches like this Sensata Cynergy3 device are commonly used to control other devices such as alarms and pumps when a liquid level rises or falls to a specific point. Changes in liquid level cause the float to move, which brings the internal magnet into close proximity with the reed switch, activating an open or closed circuit. This, in turn, activates your pump or alarm.
