This Cat6 patch cable from StarTech.com connects computers to a network hub, router or Ethernet switch. It’s designed for riser installations and is suitable for transmitting data between floors and through interior walls, so it's suitable for heavy-duty set-ups. The 24AWG (American Wire Gauge) copper wire has a good conductivity rate that can support high-powered electrical signals and fast transfer speeds. The UTP (unshielded twisted pair) construction means the wires are wound around each other, reducing the cable's size for use in tight spaces.
