RS PRO ESD Grounding Wrist Strap

RS PRO’s adjustable fabric anti-static wrist straps are designed to ground the wearer and prevent a build-up of static on their body. This protects any electrical equipment being handled from damage. The blue high-quality reusable fabric strap is comfortable to wear and suitable for those with allergies. It's adjustable for different wrist sizes and features a quick-release fastener.

Wrist straps should be checked before each use. Each check should be performed with the wrist strap worn in contact with the wearer’s skin and with the ground cord attached to the appropriate tester. The strap conforms to European standard EN 61340-5-1 for ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection and should be used with a coiled cord with a 1 MΩ current-limiting resistor.

These wrist straps are suitable in computing, automotive and electronics settings. They're also used in operating theatres where oxygen or explosive anaesthetic gases are used.
