RS PRO 2.54mm Pitch 14 Way, Through Hole Turned Pin IC Dip Socket, 3A

This dual in-line socket from RS PRO is an electrical connection point that can be through-hole mounted to a printed circuit board (PCB). It's a convenient product to use when terminations need to be interchangeable or removed for testing.
The socket has solid, precision-turned sleeves with a closed bottom to stop welding flux from getting into it when you solder it to your PCB. Its copper spring inserts are extremely durable, allowing you to easily and frequently insert and disconnect wires without damaging the unit. A moulded thermoplastic body makes the socket very robust and able to withstand high temperatures without negative effects.
Use this product to quickly replace PCB terminations that are prone to failure. It's Underwriters' Laboratories (UL) 94 V-0 approved, so you can be assured that it's flame-retardant and non-combustible in the event of a fire.
