RS PRO 40W/m Trace Heating Kit Constant Wattage, Parallel Circuit, 240 V, 50 m
This parallel circuit heating tape from the RS PRO range delivers a constant wattage output for process temperature maintenance applications. The tape is flexible enough to be spiralled around a suitable pipe or vessel.
Sheathed in durable and insulating silicone rubber, the cable supports an outstanding thermal range and can be safely used between -60˚C and +200˚C. It's surrounded by an earth screen braid to shield the conductor from electrostatic interference while maintaining its flexibility.
The tape delivers an output of 40 W per metre and is available in 50-metre lengths. The outer sheath is notched at one-metre intervals to indicate cutting points.
Commonly used in both indoor and outdoor installations, applications include freeze protection and sprinkler systems as well as mains and supply piping.
This cable has been tested against international standards for electrical resistance trace heating systems (BS EN 62395-1:2006). It's not suitable for use in hazardous areas.
