The Exsys PCIe I/O card provides two serial RS-232, 422 and 485 high performance UART 16C550 outputs with surge protection and isolation. Each port can be independently configured as RS-232, 422 or 485. It is designed to add two more serial combo ports for PC, workstation or server via PCIe bus. The card is fully PCIe plug-and-play compatible and has no conflicts with IRQ and I/O addresses. It supports the ATTA Auto RS-485 transmitter features. In addition, +5V or +12V on pin 9 of the RS-232 serial connector is configurable for a POS system (Power over System).
