What's meant by a non-wicking filler material?


Wicking refers to a material's ability to draw in moisture. In wiring, a non-wicking filler material is desirable as it isn't absorbent. Instead, it repels moisture away from the metal conductor cores and reduces the risk of disruption and damage to electrical connections.
