RS PRO Standard Thermocouple Connector for Use with Type J Thermocouple, 6mm Probe, BS Standard

This RS PRO standard Type J thermocouple connector plug has solid, round plug pins and is suitable for industrial and general use. It's colour-coded black and is compatible with older temperature reading equipment.

With polarised contacts to ensure a correct connection, this in-line plug accepts thermocouple cables with a diameter up to 6.5 mm. The contacts are made from true thermocouple alloys and the hardwearing unit can sustain a maximum continuous operating temperature of +220°C. Type J thermocouples work best in non-oxidising atmospheres.

All RS PRO’s thermocouples and thermocouple connectors are colour coded according to international standards for ease of identification. Type J models are colour coded black in accordance with IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) regulations. Please note that this BS (British Standards) 1843 product is being phased out, and will be replaced with a new colour code standard BS4937 Part 30 1993 (IEC 584-3 1989 modified for international use).
