StarTOP Plugs and Connectors
Glanded entry completely screwless industrial plug and connector, used to reduce installation time by approximately 60%
Connection terminals strip conductors and provide contact as terminal is pushed home
Integral pressure cable gland automatically gives strain relief and a watertight cable seal to IP44
The black connectors are for use with 500V/60Hz supplies
The green connectors are for use with 500V/100-300Hz supplies
Mennekes ProTOP & StarTOP
Plugs and sockets conforming to the latest requirements of British and European standards. The insulator outer casing and interiors are manufactured from Amaplast (nylon 6) for excellent mechanical performance from -25°C to +55°C (ambient temperature). This material provides good electrical insulation and will meet the requirements of most industrial environments.,Contact tubes and pins are made of brass. To prevent incorrect connection, the earth contact is in a different position, relative to the safety key way on each socket outlet, for each voltage.,Products are type tested to VDE.
Note
230V plug and socket stock no.s 530-6151 and 530-6230 have four pins and are for use with 230V 3-phase supply applications. They are not compatible with the standard 2P+E 3-pin planform blue 230V connectors.
Caution
Users should ensure that if these 230V 3-phase connectors are used in conjunction with an inverter, then on no account should the output be disconnected from the inverter with the load still on-line.
