The PicoBlade connector system is also able to provide the same 1 A current as similar 2.00 mm pitch connector systems. The housings of these PicoBlade headers have locking windows which engage with two latching ramps in the crimp housing to produce a friction locking mechanism. This friction lock provides a secure mating connection and prevents accidental unmating caused by mishandling or vibration. The SMT PicoBlade headers feature solder tabs that provide a secure retention on the PCB and act as a strain relief for the SMT solder tails. This feature also helps prevent solder joints form cracking due to mishandling. These 1.25 mm PicoBlade PCB and SMT headers are available in vertical and right angle mounting configurations.
