Use this MCB from Schneider Electric as a first line of defence against damage caused by current surges. When it receives an overcurrent, the internal bimetallic strip heats up and bends, cutting the power supply to attached circuits. Resetting this unit is a cinch as you just need to flip the built-in toggle switch to get it back in action. As it's a type-C MCB, it trips at between five and ten times the rated load current of 10A, making it suitable for high-power electrical systems.
