Compatible with all major operating systems and hardware platforms, including Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux, as well as Intel, AMD, and Apple M1/M2 systems, the switch provides versatility across different setups.

Control options include a remote push button with a 1.5m cable for optimal placement, and hotkey commands via downloadable software, enabling intuitive switching between hosts. Independent audio switching can be achieved through keyboard shortcuts, ensuring uninterrupted audio when switching between devices. Additionally, users can enhance productivity and device management with the StarTech.com Connectivity Tools application, featuring utilities such as Advanced Windows Layout Utility, MAC Address Pass-Through Utility, USB Event Monitoring Utility, and Wi-Fi Auto Switch Utility, aimed at improving performance, security, and connectivity management.
