Bulgin Buccaneer Standard Sealed Power Connectors


From Bulgin, the Buccaneer Standard Series of Flex Cable Connectors are robust and versatiles connector for power management solutions. With a screw locking mating system that ensures a secure connection, these compact connectors are ideal for use in challenging conditions.

With no special tooling needed for termination, the Buccaneer Standard series connectors are easy to assemble, even in the field.

The connectors also feature a positive locking mating system which means the connector cannot be mis-matched.

Environment


The Standard Series of Buccaneer connectors are protected to IP68 when mated. This means they are dust tight, and resistant against particle ingress such as dust and sand. They are also waterproof, meaning they are protected from liquid ingress up to the point of submersion for a limited time.

A: There are connector caps available for Standard Buccaneer connectors, which maintain the IP68 sealing when mated pairs are uncoupled. The cap can also be used as a tool to aid the removal and refitting of inserts during assembly.

Q: How durable is the connector?

A: The Standard Buccaneer series of power connectors feature glass filled polyamide moulded housing that is resistant to dust, oils and saltwater.

Q: What are the mating requirements of this connector?

A: The Buccaneer standard series cable connectors mate with corresponding in-line connectors for a cable to cable connection, or with panel, chassis and pcb connectors.

Q: Are contacts supplied with this connector?

A: Contacts are not supplied with 12 and 25 way connectors, and must be ordered separately.
