Detect metal objects with this Hall effect sensor from Honeywell. Its plastic housing is environmentally sealed to ensure reliable protection against moisture and contaminants. As it uses non-contact sensing, it doesn't make physical contact with objects, reducing the risk of mechanical wear for an enhanced service life. This sensor has a low current consumption of just 9 to 10mA for energy-efficient operation.

How does a Hall effect sensor work?

A Hall effect sensor uses the strength of a magnetic field to measure corresponding changes in voltage. This allows it to sense the speed and position of objects within the magnetic field.
