RJ45 Cat5e and Cat6 Volition™ Sockets


3M presents this range of Volition™ series single-vane offset contact RJ45 Keystone Jacks. These Volition Keystone Jacks have locking jaws for tool-free wiring and an integral protective shutter with automatic closure. Cat5e and Cat6 versions are available with 8 contacts (UTP) or 8 contacts with 9th point for grounding continuity (FTP) or shielded versions with metallic nose and cover, shielded by a reversible metal cover and supplied with a fixing collar (STP).

The Volition RJ45 Keystone Jacks accept cable sizes of Cat5e 26-22AWG and Cat6 0.5 to 0.65 mm diameter solid, or 7 x 0.15 to 0.20 mm stranded (24-22AWG) all with a maximum sheath diameter of 1.60 mm.

The Volition Series of RJ45 Keystone Jacks includes the following:


• Stock number 518-5415 is an RJ45 8-pin UTP cat5e connector
• Stock number 518-5421 is an RJ45 9-pin FTP cat5e connector with a ninth point for grounding
• Stock number 518-5437 is an RJ45 8-pin STP cat5e connector with a metallic shield
• Stock number 800-6728 is an RJ45 8-pin STP cat5e connector with a metallic shield
• Stock number 518-5386 is an RJ45 9-pin FTP cat6 connector with a ninth point for grounding
• Stock number 518-5409 is an RJ45 8-pin STP cat6 connector with a metallic shield
