XCS-DMC/XCS-DMP Coded Magnetic Switches, Rectangular

XCS-DM coded magnetic safety switches are designed for monitoring the doors, covers and guards of industrial machines with imprecise guiding and low inertia. These safety switches are ideally suited for machines subjected to frequent washing or liquid spray. They protect the operator by immediately stopping any dangerous movement as soon as the distance between the switch and its magnet is greater than 8mm (5mm for XCS-DMC).
XPS-DM safety modules are specifically designed for monitoring the coded magnetic safety switches. When the XCS-DM safety switch is used in conjunction with the XPS-DM safety relay they offer a certified safety solution for guard monitoring.

Actuation on 3 sides: face to face and face to side
8mm tolerance to misalignment (5mm for XCS-DMC)
LED versions have an LED in series with one N/C giving indication when guard is closed
Coded reed technology - switch cannot be totally defeated by a simple magnet

Safety module

Allows multi-switch monitoring to Safety Category 4 solutions in accordance with EN954-1/ISO 13849-1
XPS-DMB can monitor 2 independent sensors and modules, XPS-DME can monitor 6 independent sensors and modules
2 safety outputs and 2 solid state outputs for signalling to the process PLC
LEDs on the front face provide information on the monitoring circuit status
Dimensions: H99 x W22 x D114mm
IP20 protection on terminals and IP40 protection on enclosure, in accordance with EN/IEC 60529

Note

With the appropriate monitoring system and correctly wired these switches can reach safety category 4 conforming to EN/ISO 13849-1, PL e conforming to EN/ISO 13849-1, SIL 3 conforming to EN/IEC 61508.
