Allen Bradley 1492 SP Series Miniature Circuit Breakers – Type D
Safeguard your electrical circuits with the general purpose 1492-SPM Type D Miniature Circuit Breakers by Allen Bradley. These circuit breakers offer high performance and ensure enhanced protection for equipment.
These MCBs have instantaneous breaking time and feature type D tripping. They are available in 1, 2 and 3 pole versions to suit your application. The 1492-SPM miniature circuit breakers are current limiting and can be easily mounted on a DIN rail. These units are also IP20 finger-safe for greater protection, and they have dual terminals for wiring and bus bar flexibility. These dependable MCBs help to prevent downtime from nuisance tripping as they also have superior shock and vibration resistance. The 1492-SPM series allows installation of up to six accessories on the same circuit breaker so that you can optimise your safety system with ease.
Type D MCBs are usually used for specific industrial and commercial applications with very high inductive loads and where high inrush current frequently occurs, for example with x-ray machines, large winding motors, transformers, and welding equipment. A type D MCB will trip instantly at a rate of ten to twenty-five times its rated current.

Allen Bradley MCB, 63A Current Rating, Type D Tripping - 1492-SPM2D630
Prevent damage to your devices with this MCB from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range. As it has type D tripping characteristics, it breaks your circuit when your system's current rises to above 10 to 20 times its current rating. This makes it a good choice for use with devices where high inrush currents are likely, such as electric motors. Its current rating of 63A means it's suitable for use in heavy-duty applications. Thanks to its two poles, you can use this MCB to protect up to two circuits at once.
Works with AC and DC supply voltages for compatibility with common power sources

Why should I use an MCB instead of a fuse?
You can reset MCBs after they trip, while fuses need to be replaced after they've blown. This means that MCBs like this one give you more convenient and long-lasting protection than fuses.
