The FLIR TG56 is a handheld pistol grip infrared thermometer that is easy to use and is suitable for lots of applications that require measuring temperatures. features. The FLIR TG56 features laser pointers and work lights, the work light definitely adds extra functionality for use in dark environments. This IR Thermometer makes non-contact surface temperature readings possible for hard to reach places, the TG56 thermometer can measure from a safe distance.

Designed with a colour screen, navigation and select settings are made easy. Featuring new mode options, users are able to view a current reading alongside the last 2 readings simultaneously. Built-in laser targeting assists with identifying target areas and the display provides stunning visual high and low alarms. With a tough and rugged design this device is ideal for harsh environments, built to withstand a 3-meter drop. Slim, light and convenient for carrying in your back pocket wherever you go.

A: infrared thermometers are not harmful, they do not emit radiation, only measure it like a digital camera


Q: How accurate are infrared cameras?

A: The majority of IR thermometers have a measurement error specification, which shows their best accuracy. The surface being measured can also affect accuracy. Reflective objects result in lower measurements than the actual temperature, whilst non-reflective surfaces give higher measurements. The emissivity of a surface is how effective it is at emitting energy as thermal radiation, as such some IR thermometers have adjustable emissivity settings.
Distance to spot ratio is also essential in providing accurate temperature measurements, if an infrared thermometer is too close to its target area, heat can build up in the device. This can give false readings or damage the temperature sensors, therefore it is essential to always follow a manufacturer's guidelines.
