3M™ Lead Foil Tape 420 Silver 25 mm x 33 m

The 3M 420 is a thermally conductive and electrically smooth Lead foil tape featuring an rubber adhesive and an easy to apply 4 mm soft lead backing. Used for electroplating or as a radiation barrier, but due to its makeup it can be used for weighting and balancing objects. The lead foil tape can be burnished fully covering the adhesive allowing full contact to the metal base. This metal to metal contact results in an overall electrical continuation path.

Application

The soft lead of the 3M 420 Foil Tape is very conformable resulting it being adhered to uneven surfaces. Highly conductive and strong acid resistance makes it ideal for electroplating and as a radiation barrier. Being highly conformable and pliable the tape can be formed into detailed and intricate shapes or patterns.
